Hello everyone,
we had typical April weather today. Sunshine, windy, snowfall, sunshine.... There are only two things you can do on such a holiday:

 1) Transform yourself into a cat and sleep some 23 hours, or 2) pull yourself together and create something. As I'm still working on option 1), I made some bookmarks today, a nice little (and quick) diy project. I love to read books but I somehow constantly loose all my bookmarks, using everything from supermarket receipts to hair pins instead.

  • scissors
  • hole puncher
  • colored paper
  • glue
  • cardboard stripes
  • adhesive tape (broad)
  • yarn/wool

Glue the cardboard stripes on the colored papers (both sides).

Place the cardboard stripe on the adhesive tape and flatten it out.

Slowly pull the adhesive tape over the upper side of the cardboard and flatten the tape with your finger as you go along.

Cut along the sides of the stripe, leaving about 2mm of adhesive tape. Take your puncher to cut out a hole for the yarn.

Cut off 4 threads, take them in half and pull the loop through the hole in your bookmark.

Pull the loose ends of the yarn through the loop to lock it into position, then make a simple braid.

When you've reached the desired length make a knot and cut off the ends of the yarn. Tada! Quickest diy tutorial ever!

Have a nice Monday afternoon,  love Anne
